World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations to honour refugees around the globe and is celebrated every year on 20th of June. The United Nations agency mandated to aid and protect refugees, forcibly displaced communities, and stateless people is the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). In this episode of Big News we shall understand the plight of refugees and migrants around the world, the 1951 Refugee Convention and its 1967 Protocol, and the principle of non-refoulement.
