hi, I'm Lexxie and I'm in the US. Today is international food waste and loss awareness day so I wanted to talk a bit about food waste and ways to reduce it.

apple scrap jelly (correct proceedure)

add peels and cores to stock pot
add 5 cups/ 1190 ml water
bring to boil and Sim er for 15 min
strain off juice, you should get aprx 5 cups
add 5 cups of strained juice to stock pot
stir in pectin
bring1 to rolling boil for 1 minute
stir in 7cups/1400g sugar
return to a rolling boil and boil for 1 min
skim foam and either refrigerate in containers of your choice or water bath can in 1/2 pint mason jars processing for 10 min (adjusting for altitude as necessary)
