The Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee Pressure Ulcer Prevention team, established in 2009, showed an improvement in pressure ulcer incidences in the PICU. In 2015 the team instituted a defined skin care regimen and peer-to-peer training program hospital-wide. 3M™ and the Wound®, Ostomy and Continence Nurses (WOCN) Society™ congratulate the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin team on receiving the fifth annual 3M Award for Excellence in Skin Safety.
