I may have just made a huge milsurp mistake. I've never heard anything good about the Taishō Type 14 Pistol; however, this didn't stop me from adding one to the collection. I just couldn't resist the cool factor of this World War II Imperial Japanese Military surplus handgun. People call it a "Nambu", and although it's chambered in the 8mm Nambu cartridge, that is a misnomer. These pistols have always been plagued with reliability issues but that hasn't slowed their popularity with collectors. I suppose sometimes the history behind a firearm is more important than how it shoots. I hope this one will function better once I update the springs.
