The souring relationship between BJP and Nitish Kumar-led JD(U) came to a bitter end after Bihar CM Nitish Kumar decided to exit NDA. Interestingly, it is being said that BJP was well aware of Nitish's steps and in fact chose to let him go. However, BJP did hit out at Nitish and accused him of using PM Modi's publicity to come back into power in 2019 & 2020.
