Dr John Tanqueray says "It goes without saying that you want to find a clinic you can trust to give you good advice and deliver your treatments competently and safely and be there afterwards if you have any questions. This is likely to be a long term relationship so it's very important you make the right decision".
In this video he suggests 7 questions patients should ask when choosing a doctor, before consenting to having any skin treatments:
1. What are your background and qualifications?
2. What specialist training have you had?
3. What products do you use and why?
4. How many treatments have you performed?
5. Have you had any complications? If so, how have you dealt with them?
6. Will I be able to contact you promptly if I have any questions?
7. If there is a problem you cannot treat yourself, what would you do?
"I don't think anyone should be offended by you asking these questions, but you should find the answers informative."
