Singer Anuradha Paudwal opens up about the ongoing Azaan row; says loudspeakers should be banned.
Anuradha Paudwal recently joined the bandwagon of celebrities speaking about the issue of playing Azaan on loudspeakers. According to her, like in other countries, it should be banned in India.
In an interview with a news portal, the veteran singer said that she has visited many places in the world and she has not seen anything like this happening except in India. Paudwal also clarified that she is not against any religion. However, according to her, it is being forcibly encouraged here. She also went on to add that other communities might start questioning why they can’t do the same.
Earlier in 2017, Sonu Nigam, too, had raised the issue of playing Azaan on loudspeakers in a series of tweets. However, the singer was slammed on social media for his comments.
