Discription:Saint John Bosco, also known as Don Bosco, was an Italian Catholic priest and educator in the 19th century. He was born in august 16,1815 in Piedmont, Italy, and grew up in poverty after the early death of his father. Despite facing many challenges, he felt a calling to help young people and dedicated his life to their education and well-being.
In 1859, he founded the Society of St. Francis de Sales, commonly known as the Salesians, to carry out his mission of helping youth. He also established the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians to care for and educate girls.
Throughout his life, Saint John Bosco worked tirelessly to provide education, vocational training, and spiritual guidance to young people, especially those at risk of falling into crime or poverty. He was known for his kindness, patience, and innovative teaching methods, which earned him the title "Father and Teacher of Youth."
Saint John Bosco was canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church in 1934. His legacy lives on through the worldwide network of Salesian schools, colleges, and youth centers that continue his work of empowering and supporting young people.
