A Prayer of the Day. (Seeds of Shalom) [ Ссылка ] “Then he said to them, "The sabbath was made for humankind, and not humankind for the sabbath.” (Mark 2:27 NRSV)
Lord, you created heavens and the earth and everything in it. Looking at all of them, you said, “It is good” and you rest. And you give us or even command us Sabbath rest. Lord, you invite us to join your rest, enjoying the beauty of your creation, harmony in diversity, and wonder of life. By taking Sabbath rest, we remember that we depend on you, not our work. All things we have are from you Lord. We are set free from our slavery labor, and now we are heirs of your kingdom. So, why do we have to fight to get more? Why do we have to compare what we have with others and feel we need more? Oh Lord, please change our view, how we look at ourselves. We are not what we have, or what we do. But we are the children of God. Oh Lord, please set us free from greed for material things and fear for the future. Teach us how to rest in you and enjoy what you have given to us with our loved ones, families, and friends. In Jesus name, amen.
