Sixteen years - that's how much the city of Pripyat was when the Chornobyl accident took place. For a person, sixteen years is the age of entering adulthood with its challenges and opportunities. For Pripyat, sixteen years has become an age when all hopes and expectations have been shattered.
In April 1986, the city did not have time to say goodbye to its inhabitants - the threat was too big, everything happened too quickly, there was too little time to protect itself from the once "peaceful atom". Today Pripyat is a monument for posterity and we want to believe that it is the only one of its kind.
Together with the Dronarium Ukraine team and with the support of the State Specialized Enterprise "Chornobyl NPP" and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, we have prepared a series of videos about the Exclusion Zone. Famous locations, familiar places, amazing buildings - for 35 years they have attracted our attention again and again. Time is relentless, but there should always be a place to honor the feat and sympathize with human grief.
