On my 2022 Model 3 Performance I was able to use the 12V in the rear console and hide my wires along side. The 2024 highland model 3 has the front console making it impossible to do. While doing this job I realized how much tighter the highland is assembled. There are no gaps between the center console and the carpet pick panels anymore.
Note: make sure you radar detector can take up to 16v mine reads at 15.1 on the red wire I am using. This wire is switched to supply power when the door is opened and shuts off when the car locks.
