When you want to reformat your Microsoft Word document and have more flexibility to position
the text and other elements, you can clear the tab stops for this layout.
In Word, tabs are used to make lists or indent text. Sometimes you’ll have tabs that you need to
delete or clear. To unset or clear a tab stop in Word, follow these steps
Open Microsoft Word or the Word document that you need.
Go to Home tab. Look for the Paragraph block. Click on the expand icon. A new window will
open.
Click on Tabs at the bottom of the window. Click on Clear All. Click Ok to close the window.
