You might think that the battle of Geonosis was a big win for the Republic. However, this wasn’t really the case, mostly because of Yoda and Mace Windus's insanely stupid battle plan. Under Windu’s leadership, the Jedi rushed in without backup, leading to countless deaths for no reason. Yoda was no better. Instead of using the Republic fleet to blockade geonosis from space, the deployed troops on mass, knowing full well there was no cover for the clones. By the end of the battle, over 86% of the Jedi deployed had been slaughtered, while over 5000 of the 10,000 Clone commandos in existence were killed. Although the Republic technically won the battle, it was a tactical loss, with much of the sepratist army and leadership escaping.
