Buddy Rich’s daughter with a late 60s revival of the #23 hit for Sue Thompson in 1964. Cathy coupled her release with a revival of “Wild Thing”.
Kim Fowley built up a strong reputation in the business starting in the 60s; a time when he wrote “Nut Rocker” for B Bumble & The Stingers and produced “Popsicles And Icicles”, a #3 hit for the Murmaids in early 1964. In the 70s his projects included helping form the Runaways (featuring Joan Jett) and producing some of their albums.
“Paper Tiger” is another song in the huge repertoire of writer, John D Loudermilk. Others include “Ebony Eyes”, “Talk Back Trembiln’ Lips” and “Indian Reservation”.
After her father’s death in 1987, Cathy has worked tirelessly to preserve his memory, organizing memorial concerts and touring with his band.
