Vang Vieng - is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque places in Laos. Limestone, forested mountains stretching to the horizon, between which the Nam Song River meanders lazily. In addition, numerous karst caves, almost evergreen rice fields occupying almost every flat surface between the mountains and rural, almost idyllic landscape make this area a must-visit in Laos. Over the years, Vang Vieng has become a veritable mecca for travelers and backpackers, turning into the Lao capital of all outdoor activities. From rafting on the river in canoes or on an inner tube from a truck, through viewing caves, bathing in karst lagoons and climbing to viewpoints, to ballooning and rock climbing.
