For most cities around the world, recycling starts with asking people to separate glass, paper, metal and plastic from their household trash.
But residents of the town of Kamikatsu, Japan, have a far bigger challenge – breaking down their garbage into 45 separate categories.
But the town located on the southern Japanese island of Shikoku has been rising to the challenge, and well on its way to reaching a goal of sending nothing to incinerators or landfills by the year 2020.
