René F. Najera, DrPH.
Dr. Najera is an Associate in the Epidemiology Department at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the current editor of The History of Vaccines, an award-winning informational, educational website created by The College of Physicians of Philadelphia. He received a doctorate in public health (DrPH) from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology degree from the University of Texas at El Paso.
Deanna Bridge Najera, MPAS, MS, PA-C, DFAAPA
PA Najera attended the University of Maryland for her undergraduate degree in physiology and neurobiology, Chatham University for her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies, and Shippensburg University for her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She primarily splits her time between a county health department and a suburban emergency department, while also providing outpatient psychiatric coverage on an as-needed basis. She regularly lectures on medical and mental health topics at the local, state, and national level, and is always happy to talk about the PA profession.
