We are LIVE at Columbia University in New York City, where hundreds of students, faculty, and the larger New York community defend the Gaza Solidarity encampment after the University’s threats of disciplinary action.
The emergency protest was organized by students from NYU, The New School, FIT, Columbia, and CCNY.
Since Columbia established the first camp on April 17th, dozens of encampments have been built across campuses in the demand to: Disclose, Divest, Defend, and Declare.

Students demands include:
➡️Divest all finances, including the endowment, from corporations that profit from Israeli apartheid, genocide, and occupation in Palestine.
➡️Complete transparency for all of Columbia’s financial investments.
➡️Amnesty for all students and faculty disciplined or fired in the movement for Palestinian liberation.

From NDN Collective's position paper on Palestine: "When Palestine is free, we are all free. Although our Peoples come from different nations and geographies, the struggles against settler colonialism are the same. Not because we or our struggles are the same but because settler colonialists share playbooks. So it must be and will be our commitment to support calls to action when they arise, expanding on the history of solidarity our people have had with Palestinians, and holding our communities and leaders accountable when they make pro-zionist, pro-israel, and pro-settler colonial statements."
