This Post-Show Talk features the Martha Graham Dance Company’s artistic director, Janet Eilber, in conversation with Jacob's Pillow Scholar-in-Residence Nancy Wozny. The Talk took place on August 28, 2015 following a performance by the Martha Graham Dance Company at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in Becket, MA.
Post-Show Talks are held at Jacob's Pillow Dance on Fridays in the Ted Shawn Theatre and Thursdays in the Doris Duke Theatre and offer an opportunity for audiences to gain more insight into performances directly from the artists themselves.
The preceding performance officially kicked off the company’s 90th anniversary season, featuring Martha Graham’s “Embattled Garden,” Nacho Duato’s “Depak Ine,” the world premiere of Mats Ek’s “AXE,” and Andonis Foniadakis’s “Echo.”
These videos are part of Seeing Dance, Talking Dance, a project of Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, encouraging different ways of seeing, discussing, and appreciating dance. This program is supported by Engaging Dance Audiences, administered by Dance/USA and made possible with generous funding from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
