Alcatraz Island is a small island located in the San Francisco Bay, off the coast of San Francisco, California. It was developed to function as a military fort, a prison, and a federal prison until 1963.

During that time, it held some of the most notorious criminals of the world, including Al Capone, the Birdman of Alcatraz, and Robert Franklin Stroud, known as the "Birdman of Alcatraz." It was closed down in 1963 due to the high costs of running it.

Since then, it has been opened to the public as a tourist attraction, and has been featured in many movies and TV shows. Today, we shall be exploring the island and discussing whether or not it is worth the trip.
