Feral Bees Attack but now happy in log hive. Got a swarm call from my buddy in Molalla Oregon who lives out in the woods. He has a log hive too. The swarm was easy enough to get to and as soon as I approached them I knew they were feral just by their size and movement in the swarm cluster. Probably because of the fires last year they've had less to forage on so they were especially very agitated.
For some reason after reading the signs I didn't put on my bee suit and paid dearly. Received around 30 stings and the next day was feeling a little sick from the venom. But I bounced back like a honey badger.
The swarm was relocated to a log in wooded area in Portland and have calmed down after feeding.
