The Sharp MD-DR77 (2004) is a flagship portable recorder that comes with a powerful, 1-bit 8 mW + 8 mW headphone amp. I have a few of these, but this was a deal, even though it was in rough condition. Though it was functioning fine (not via gumstick...), it had a different mechanical problem: the eject slider was flaky!
I got in, cleaned/lubed (as usual), and fixed that eject mechanism. Skip to 10:46 to see that part, specifically.
Please refer to my blog for more details!
