We will visit two cathedrals today. The first one is the St. Isaac's Cathedral. From here you have a lovely view over St. Petersburg, especially during winter time. Secondly there is the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. The history of this church in St. Petersburg is that it is build as a remembrance on the assassination on Alexander the II. Alexander the III his son constructed this church with the largest mosaic collection of the world.
During this Christmas day we still have time to explore a Christmas market in St. Petersburg. It is the winter market organised by the government of St. Petersburg. It is a completely different Christmas market you would find in Western Europe. So that makes it even better to explore this place.
