I know it's been a little while since the last new video. Thanks so much for being there, and a special thanks to those of you who have even checked in on me since the last posting.
I filmed today's offering in the park near my home. In a couple of weeks this area will be bustling with the annual Flowertown Festival goers, but this evening was quiet and pensive.
The song is one from my high school days made famous by Bette Midler. It always tugs at my heart a little as it reminds me of a young lady by the name of Rose who, near the height of this song's popularity, left the world way too soon. But through the sadness of loss, there is a beautiful hope...a lesson in nature put there by God, I believe, to let us know that passings are but winters, and with God as our hope, Spring will come again. Because of this blessed hope, we can have joy even in the midst of sorrow with our mind on the rose to come.
