The latest 2025 Mercedes AMG E53 model breaks new ground by merging advanced electrification without sacrificing its inherent strength. It maintains the powerful inline-six setup, featuring a 3.0-liter turbo engine, which now boasts an enhanced output of 443 horsepower, a step up from its predecessor's 429 hp. Alongside this, an electric motor pitches in with an extra 161 hp, leading to a combined might of 577 hp. This total can even briefly jump to 603 hp with the use of Race Start, Mercedes' own version of launch control, resulting in an impressive torque of 553 lb-ft—far surpassing the previous model's 384 lb-ft.
In terms of speed, the AMG E53 models show remarkable agility. The sedan version hits the 0 to 62 mph mark in just 3.8 seconds, and the wagon follows closely at 3.9 seconds. Both variants have their speeds capped at 155 mph, but there's an option to push these boundaries to 174 mph for the sedan and 171 mph for the wagon through the AMG Driver's Package. Additionally, these models can cruise at speeds of up to 87 mph using just the electric motor.
