Hello from Tokyo! Today, I’m at the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba, situated on the scenic waterfront area of Odaiba. This spot is notably quieter compared to the bustling city center, yet offers easy access to iconic attractions like Tsukiji Market and Disneyland. Let’s dive into the real experience of staying here.
🌉 First Impressions: Convenient but Dated
Arriving here was quite the spectacle, dodging Mario Kart racers on the bridge—only in Tokyo, right? The hotel’s entrance and lobby are grand, with soaring ceilings and a welcoming vibe. The check-in process was quick, albeit the decor throughout feels a bit behind the times. It’s grand but could do with some refreshing.
🛏️ Room: Surprisingly Spacious
The real standout feature of this hotel is the room size—especially for Tokyo standards, where you’re often cramped. This room was not just a room; it felt like a suite with its ample space. It had all the usual amenities and a spacious bathroom . While the decor isn’t the newest and the wallpaper could definitely use an update, the space itself makes up for it.
🌅 The Balcony: A View Worth Every Yen
The balcony deserves its own mention. It’s not every day in Tokyo that you get a room with a view like this. Overlooking the bay with sights of the Rainbow Bridge and the distant Tokyo Tower, it’s absolutely stunning. Morning coffees and evening drinks here are serene experiences, offering a moment of peace above the city’s hustle.
🍴 Executive Lounge and Dining
The executive lounge access was a perk, with a spread that goes beyond typical lounge fare—more akin to a full meal. It's perfect for an evening wind-down with a view. The breakfast, while bustling, offered a wide array from Japanese favorites to Western dishes, all fresh and well-prepared.
👍 Overall Experience
For families or those who appreciate a bit more peace while still staying connected to the city, Hilton Tokyo Odaiba is a strong contender. The metro access makes it easy to jump back into the urban rush when you’re ready. The room size alone, paired with that incredible balcony view, makes it a place I’d return to. It’s like having a tranquil bubble away from the dense city grid.
📝 Verdict: Would I Stay Again? Yes.
Despite its slightly worn edges, the hotel delivers on comfort and space, which are often hard to come by in Tokyo. The balcony alone, with its expansive views, could be reason enough to book a stay here.
