Akon City is a project launched by Akon a US-Senegalese rapper, R&B singer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. Akon City will be built in Senegal 62 miles from Dakar, the capital of Senegal. The project was first announced by Akon along with the Senegal minister for tourism Alioune Sarrin 2018. It will be located in the coastal village in Mbodiène on 800-hectare (2,000 acres) of land.
