Just acquired a cheap mini lathe, and took time to check the parts. This video showed the inspection of the chuck and the two sets of jaws. The chuck body was slightly rustic (this was not expected — I thought these import lathe or machine tools usually come with soaked oil or grease). The jaws couldn’t fully closed and slightly misaligned, which I later tested with the dial tester showing over 5 mm runout.
