Welcome to the ever-changing Oslo waterfront. Next to the famous Opera House is the eye-catching new Deichman Library: [ Ссылка ]
The new Deichman is far more than a place to go for books. It’s quickly become a popular cultural centre and essentially a new public space for the city with a coffee shop and exhibition area on the ground floor. It’s a busy place.
But of course, there are still thousands of books, newspapers, magazines, comics and audiobooks available across the six floors. They are mainly in Norwegian, but there’s plenty available in English, the other Scandinavian languages and many other languages too.
Throughout the library there are many flexible spaces to sit and enjoy a book, or do some work or study. There’s places for events, and even 3D printers and sewing machines. Stop by for a look next time you’re in the city.
