I went through a huge distribution center currently under construction and it has some cutting edge technology inside.
The concrete, specifically, is a system done overseas but seldom in North America.
The original warehouse ground slab design was 8” @ 25kg steel fiber in non racked areas and 8” @ 30kg steel fiber in racked areas. Flatness specification was Fmin 60 to support Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) fork lifts. The concrete company were able to value engineer the slab design to a wide bay Jointless slab @ 6” @ 25Kg performance steel fiber in all areas with a flatness requirement FF 75 FL 50. That design change saved 63 Tons of steel fiber, 1500m3 of concrete and almost 13km of saw cuts and the resultant joint fillers.
I have a longer video coming out shortly!
