Full November 2023 FIRMWARE RELEASED! Step-by-step installation Subaru Infotainment system firmware installation. Install new Infotainment firmware in less than an hour.
Access to files can be found online at a site hosted by one of the Subaru Outback owner’s members: [ Ссылка ]
This firmware is only applicable for North American 2020 - 2022 Legacy and Outback models!
Before proceeding, some things to consider…. AT YOUR OWN RISK!
The USB stick must be formatted to NTFS. Some users report that MacOS Extended works.
I disconnected Bluetooth, WiFi and unplugged all USB cables.
Some users report the right side USB seems to be faster - Subaru supports USB 2.0 only.
Original files are compressed and need to be uncompressed to the root directory of the USB stick.
Do NOT change the file names.
Do NOT add or remove files or the installation will fail.
The name of the USB stick has no bearing on the installation.
As an added measure of security, it is recommended to disable the “Over The Air” WiFi update option in the menu screen.
Remember to check the status after the update (shown at the end of the video). You might see an “software initializing” message. Wait a bit longer to give it time to finish.
All updates include previous changes. There is no need to upgrade the files incrementally. The latest version has everything you need.
Subaru recommends you perform a complete system reset after the upgrade. A system reset ERASES ALL you personal (radio, phone, profiles, GPS POIs, etc…) settings but does promise smoother operation.
NOTE: November’s version now includes FIVE files. The radio is updated to version 03.00.57.
