‘For anyone, deciding to flee your home is a difficult decision, but we we realised we had no real hoice after a Russian shell so close all the windows were shattered and the metal garage gates blown to pieces, damaging our car. It was my lifelong home, built buy my own father.’
Maryna Pushko, hid for two months in her cellar in Mariupol, Ukraine, with her husband Oleksandr, her 90-year-old-father, her children and their young families.
With the support of @ LUXMED, Bupa’s business in Poland, Maryna, a GP and Oleksandr, a Radiologist, have been able to start rebuilding their lives with LUXMED’s retraining programme for doctors. Since the war began, LUX MED, has provided free healthcare services to over 130,000 Ukrainian refugees and supported 193 healthcare professionals to continue their careers.
