It was a hard move. 🌊➡️⛰️ It’s hard to leave your “home”…where you raised your babies, graduated from high school, learned to drive, met your spouse, bought your first home…It’s not easy to leave and that’s the truth. 😢 Sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t 👿 at least that’s what they say. But for us, we wanted a change and the timing was right. There were some things in CA that no longer suited us and we decided to give Utah a chance, knowing that if we didn’t like it, we could always move back. California isn’t closed (neither is Utah by the way). After two years in Utah, would we move back to CA? No. There are plenty of things we miss about it, but also things we don’t. Actually, if you just watch the CA news for a few hours, the homesickness quickly goes away. 🌊🚫 Do I love California AND Utah? Yes, I ❤️ them both. It’s not about one being better than the other. They are different and that’s a good thing. Was it a hard move? Yes. Did I question if I did the right thing? Yes. Do I want to move back to CA? No. If you are thinking about moving to another state, whether that’s Utah or somewhere else, it won’t be easy, but I hope it will be worth it for you too. ❤️
