WW1 was the first time our nation faced a large quantity of men refusing to fight do to moral objections. The Objectors shaped US conscription law and religious freedom laws in the United States. Them standing up for their beliefs led to increased religious freedom for many other Americans including Desmond Doss the Medal of Honor awardee of WW2.
