When Prince Charles married Camilla Parker-Bowles in 2005, the palace issued an official statement saying that the heir's second wife had no claim to Queen Consort status and would be a princess when Charles ascended the throne. At the time, the couple feared their wedding would be boycotted and sought to do everything they could to smooth things over. In addition, Camilla decided not to use the title Princess of Wales out of respect for Princess Diana's memory - instead she is known as the Duchess of Cornwall (Charles also holds the title Duke of Cornwall, but it is rarely used). How do you feel about Camilla becoming queen consort after all?
