We spend 4 nights aboard a dive boat around the Channel Islands in September of 2022. On the 2 hour crossing from the islands back to the Santa Barbara Harbor, we encountered two pods of whales, (a pod of 4 and another pod of 2), as well as hundreds and hundreds of dolphins.

The first 3:12 is all whales, then the dolphin footage comes in at 3:13. The really good dolphin footage starts at 4:40.
