For an intermediate level player wanting to advance it can be difficult to figure out how to change your tactics on court when playing different opponents and figuring out the right time to play certain shots to set it up for your partner.
The bad news: There is no easy quick fix or secret, most of this you will naturally learn from experience and a lot also depends on your level, skills and especially the situation you are in. The good news: there are certain guidelines and rules of thumb that we point out that can help you figure out what you might be doing wrong or a different strategy for you to incorporate into your game.
In the video I am going to cover all these points and I am super happy that Tobi Wadenka one of Germany’s top coaches and professional players is joining me!

Please keep in mind, that the players in the video are world class athletes, and some of the shots and tactics they use may differ in some cases from the basic advice. Elite players have a great awareness of the situation they are in and have a good understanding of their partner’s actions. That's why they sometimes can play shots that may go against the basic guidelines or position a little different but still score points.
Anticipation and intuition about what will happen next helps them to do so and breaking out of certain patterns can be essential to win on that level.
