Forward head posture from texting, on the computer, sleeping with a thick pillow, reading and writing puts excessive stress on the muscles, ligaments, and joints of the neck. This anterior posture causes the shoulders to follow, causing rounded pronation. Degenerative joint disease/arthritis/spondylosis are the end result leading to pain and dysfunction. The rhomboid muscles are located between the shoulder blades and these muscles must be strengthened.
