Rally loving boomers love to say "WRC is for boys, Group B was for men". And as cringe and nonsensical that is, what about "1070bhp electric rallycross cars are for boys, Group B is for men"? As on the basis of this video, that's more accurate!
This weekend just gone was Race Of Champions, and Nitro Rallycross debuted supposedly the most powerful rallycross car ever, the 1070bhp all-electric FC1-X 'Group E' car.
Also at race of champions was 75 year old Swedish rally legend Stig Blomqvist driving a 37 year old Audi Sport Quattro Group B rally car.
And these two cars had a race.
And who won? The Swedish OAP in the classic rally car.
No surprise the commentators were all excited and entertained by the noise and action of the Audi, as it's pretty much impossible to get excited watching silent EVs caning about...
Also, check out the drone chase footage of the Audi later in the video too, awesome!
