When the common soft pedal/brake travel issues like brake fluid leaks or rear brake shoes needing adjustment etc.. are not solving your problem this video may help you.

If you have a soft/spongy brake pedal with excessive travel, especially in a Volkswagen, Audi, Ford or Kia, you may find that a brake bleed using the scan tool is what is required to eliminate this issue. I am sure there are others using this system too but those makes are the ones I was personally involved with.

I decided to make a video detailing brake bleeding procedures using a diagnostic scan tool as in recent months in our workshop has solved brake issues in a few VW's and a Ford Fiesta, while they are different auto manufacturers they both required electronic brake bleed assistance, using the ABS module to pump through. In all cases the brake pedal was massively improved and one of the customers had been driving with his brake like that since he bought it 12 months prior but the garage told him it was normal.
