Oddly, on the Soul Album Chart, The Village People pick up the Fastest Rising Album of the week as "Cruisin'" leaps 12 to #30 after debuting at #42 last week AND their album "Macho Man" is the oldest Soul Album on the chart with 32 weeks on and down 7 to #60. Y.M.C.A debuts on the Soul Singles chart at #85 this week and is the groups first Soul Chart Hit. Were black stations kind of reluctant to play them ? Gay for play ! Lol. Anyway....
Over on the Country Album chart, a dead man enters the Top Ten ! So interesting...1978
