with two significant rain events on the way, Queensland and New South Wales are preparing for opposite sides of their state to be drenched by up to 100mm of rainfall in some places. Two trough lines are expected to promote storm activity early and later next week. We also take a look at bitterly cold conditions forecast to swamp southern Australia this weekend and early next week, and a strong cold front that could be on the way for WA.
