Far from being an all-new model as the brand's marketing team might have you believe, this latest facelift to the ageing Mazda CX-5 has seen a number of range adjustments to help it stand out a bit more in a world of newer SUV rivals.
The 2022 Mazda CX-5 has its work cut out for it. The revamped Toyota RAV4 has just launched, there's newer rivals in the form of the Mitsubishi Outlander, Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson, and there's a new Nissan X-Trail just around the corner.
So, Mazda Australia has tried to eek just a bit more life out of the old CX-5, which has been on the scene since early 2017 in Australia, but five years is quite literally a lifetime in this part of the market.
