Social Emotional Learning, also known as S.E.L., is described through this whiteboard animation style video. The video begins with quick definition of social emotional learning. Next, several reasons why SEL should be incorporated into schools are given. One reason being that emotions affect both learning an behavior. Going forward, the video offers several different ways that teachers can actually use it in their classroom. Then the video goes into the social emotional learning core competencies. The competencies include self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and decision making. Each of these components are explored through basic examples. This video is part of a learning for education framework playlist.
