This was harder than expected! From start to finish how was a turkey cooked 227 years ago? Turkey, cranberry, potatoes and corn are all native to the Americas which is why they are a vital part to our food culture and identity as Americans. No Thanksgiving here is complete without them. The first Thanksgiving was also said to have deer and duck on the menu.
