Thanks for joining us for the 7th episode in our Church Farm series where we are documenting the construction of a new housing development in North Yorkshire in the UK. This project is unique in the fact that it is primarily using SIPS, strucuturally insulated panels, as the primary construction method. Building with SIPS has many benefits ranging from eco-friendly materials, more energy efficient housing to the speed of construction. However, due to the pandemic the construction industry has been hit with scarcity of resources and delays in delivery times so there's been a number of issues for Andrew to juggle onsite. In this film we cover the pouring of the flowing screed for the floors in Plot 7, the installation of Velfac windows in Plot 9 and the waterproofing measures being used on all the basement plots.
We are planning to make one or two films specifically focussed on the use of windows at Church Farm as they play such an important part in the design, security and environmental credentials of the development. So, if you have any questions you'd like answered please get in touch and we'll include your questions in our special windows film.
