“I've gotten to a point in my life finally, like we had written in the script, a blue collar therapist, Harrison Ford type, and I'd known him a little over the years, and I said, I'll just send it to Harrison Ford, call him and ask. And when he says no, we'll ask the next person. I sent the script and called him and… he called me up and he said, he ‘This is a good script. Maybe. What what's it like?’ I wasn't ready for anything other than no, and I’m whoa whoa whoa! Before you…you should talk to Jason Segel. And he was like, ‘Who's Jason Segel?’ And I'm like, I'm going to send you some movies. You're going to watch him. You watch the movies. He's like, ‘Jason Segel is funny. I'm in London shooting Indiana Jones.’ I'm like, ‘My buddy Brett's there shooting ‘Ted Lasso.’ He's going to take you out for a drink. And he had a drink with Brett and he's like, ‘I love that guy. Is he in the show?’ I'm like, ‘No, Harrison. He's in a different show.’ He's like, ‘Why am I talking to him?’ And so the fact if he had not, it was like one of those experiences. If he had not shown up on set, I would not have been shocked. But he showed up. He's lovely, he's inspiring. He's 80 years old and still challenging himself."
