Agios Dimitrios is a little tourist settlement in the NW corner of Ormos Almiropotamou, a long attractive bay with steep-to mountains above and a long beach along the North coastline.
The cove is a natural harbour, surrounded by the mountains and protected by a little promontory and an islet from the southern winds.
Anchor, in front of the quay for little boats, in 8/10 meters depth. Bottom is mud and weed, good holding when your anchor is settled in.
With northerly winds, there are strong gusts in the Bay, and in the afternoon the katabatic gusts can be impressive.
Ashore, you can walk along the quay or among the houses, or visit the little church or enjoy a dinner in the tavern. You can reach the long beach with the dinghy and have a good swim.
