If the reason for joining is purely to "make a lot of money" you're not going to get that, it's just not designed for massive financial success. At best is middle of middle class 15-20 years in ($75K)

Now, if you are broke. There's a reason why you're broke.
It's not because of the economy, government, and job market. If that was true, everybody would be broke. Which leaves us with, it's you. You have not developed financial discipline.

If you want to join the militarily to focus on improving your financial life and in doing so are ready to be challenged in all areas of your life to get that TRANSFORMATIONAL experience through that journey. Then yeah, you should consider it.
