In this video, Titleist staff member Justin Parsons tackles a very difficult shot – a short-sided bunker shot from the back of a bunker. To make the shot even more challenging, Justin's club of choice is an 8-iron. Why? Because using an 8-iron forces him to exaggerate all the correct set-up and swing nuances that are necessary to get out of the sand effectively. When the pressure is on, you'll certainly want to rely on your Vokey wedges out of the sand, but to develop reliable technique, take Justin's advice and spend some time with your 8-iron in the practice bunker.
